DOJ's initial announcement named Benard Okorhi as a Nigerian citizen living in Ghana who was arrested overseas. A later release confirms that Okorhi, Maxwell Peter and Babatunde Martins were extradited to the United States for prosecution.
Okorhi was sentenced to 75 months in federal prison in June 2021 for his role in an international fraud conspiracy involving compromised business emails and online romance scams. The official sources do not explicitly identify the country where Okorhi was arrested or the country from which he was extradited. He is included as a Ghana-linked case, not a confirmed Ghana-to-U.S. transfer.
