Crime Watch Global thanks readers who submitted information through its tip channels. Crime Watch Global says information was passed to INTERPOL before the seizure, but no official source reviewed for this update establishes that a reader tip directly caused the interception.

Crime Watch Global is publishing this court-status update on 16 September 2026. French customs officers seized nearly 3.9 metric tonnes of cocaine at the northern port of Dunkirk on 10 September. The French organised-crime prosecutor’s office estimated its street value at €225 million, approximately US$261.45 million.

Graphic Online reported on 14 September, citing NACOC, that three suspects had been arrested in Ghana and were assisting investigators. The report did not name those three people. Later reported High Court proceedings on 16 September named four accused people and recorded charges and remand orders.

Four Ghanaians accused in connection with the shipment have been identified as Desmond Koranteng Curiel, also known as “Paul Kweku Yeboah” or “Biggs”; Musah Attah, also known as “Kromo”; Kweku Otchere; and Jessica Hartog.

The four appeared before the High Court in Accra on 16 September 2026. They were charged with conspiracy to export narcotic drugs without a licence issued by Ghana’s Minister of Health and with exporting narcotic drugs. The court remanded them for four weeks, with their next appearance scheduled for 13 October 2026.

A fifth accused person, Dutch national Jos Leijdekkers, also known as “Bolle Jos”, was reported to be at large. Ghana’s Narcotics Control Commission had earlier announced arrests linked to allegations that people in Ghana represented and facilitated his activities.

The cocaine was reportedly concealed inside a container of plastic waste arriving from Ghana, and part of the shipment was initially destined for Antwerp, Belgium. French authorities said the cocaine was destroyed and an investigation was opened.

Crime Watch Global previously published a separate report on 3 August 2026 concerning allegations in a Nigerian cocaine investigation involving Afolabi Kazeem Michael, also known as KC Luxury, and two unnamed prominent Ghanaians. No authoritative source reviewed for this update links those two unnamed people, Mr. Michael, or that Nigerian investigation to the Dunkirk seizure. The two reports must not be treated as the same case without further verified evidence.

The submitted Graphic Online source does not identify Musah Attah as a presidential bodyguard and does not confirm claims about three additional unnamed people. Crime Watch Global is therefore not publishing those assertions as established facts without further official documentation.

A second supplied social-media graphic says Musah Attah was reportedly part of the security detail of Ghana’s President and Vice-President. The image does not include a reviewable article link, named author, official statement, or supporting document. It is displayed as attributed secondary material and does not independently verify the claim.

The charges and allegations are not convictions. Desmond Koranteng Curiel, Musah Attah, Kweku Otchere, Jessica Hartog, and Jos Leijdekkers are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
