In a report published on 22 February 2021, WIS said Lexington County authorities charged Keith Alexander Anderson-Salters and Alyssa Iyana Ray, both 20 at the time, with five counts of sale or delivery of a stolen pistol, one count of breach of trust and one count of criminal conspiracy each.

Sheriff Jay Koon said both worked for a company shipping firearms for a dealer. Investigators working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives alleged that five handguns, valued at more than $2,500, were taken during shipments between November 2020 and February 2021 and then sold. The dealer reported the guns stolen.

WIS reported that both surrendered to authorities, were held at the Lexington County Detention Center and later posted bond. The cited report does not establish a later court outcome. The charges remain allegations unless established by a court.
